Wecome to Staff Ride. This is the place to learn from history. Staff Rides were originally used by the German Army in the late 1800’s to train their General Staff officers. They studied the battles from the Napoleonic Wars to better understand what happend, why it happened, and what could be learned and appplied to the future. Staff Rides were later conducted by the US Army to train officers at the US Army Command and General Staff School. Often they used battles from the American Civil War as the basis for the discussion. They visited battlefields like Gettysburg, Antietem, and Petersburg to discover leadership lessons that could be applied in the future. Staff Rides are still used by the military today. They are also used by other government agencies and the private sector to learn from history. Find more information about our Staff Rides complete the contact form.
